If you truly want a new flashlight, why don't you just go out and buy one? I have the one they gave me 15 years ago and it works just fine. It's steel. I don't need a smaller one. I like the one I have and I don't possibly see why the department should replace it. All of these posts suggest that the flashlight is the culprit. I think the person on the other end of it is the one who makes the decision on how to use it. This whole thing is like saying if you wanted people that get shot by the police
