Video appears to show LMPD officer striking man with flashlight

This is the same man who in the space of a few months has single handedly managed to destroy the tiny little bit of morale that was left in the Support Bureau. He has no idea what the officers in numerous specialty units that he is "in charge of" do on a day to day basis. Instead, he makes ridiculous demands for stats, stats, stats.. not understanding that some work cannot be quantified on paper. In what crazy world does it make sense that our few helicopter pilots should be out writing tickets when the air unit is down for servicing. They're pilots, not traffic cops!!! Same goes for canine... What if a dog is needed in a division ..."sorry radio, k9's not available.. They're too busy locking someone up on an expired tag warrant..." The traffic unit writes one third of the citations for the entire department, but even that's not good enough for him... He threatens, bullies and intimidates officers into doing more. And why??? So when he finally retires to go teach (so goes the rumor) he can blow his own horn about the increase in productivity under his command. And now this BS about the explorer that he took care of?? The chiefs office is a disgrace.

Please call the Mayor's office-we need help! I have been on the job 12 years and I never dreamed it would be this bad, it is. The Chief has wore out his welcome-if the best thing he has done in his 30 year career is what he has done here at Louisville and NOBODY wants him after that-this should tell us something.
