I think he is doing a great job in the new metro violent crimes unit. Because we don't have a drug problem in Louisville, and we don't need a Metro Narc unit. Great use of resources in that unit. I glad that guy out in the 8th is getting some good busts for the department.

too bad the CJ does not have the ba11s to pull the investigative file on this one and see how the chief covered it up when his major LIED to psu many times over. The chief says he is fair on the investigations but we all know he takes care of the ones he wants to. Too bad he cannot admit he made mistakes by some of his appointments.

When are you guys going to figure out that HIGH COMMAND takes care of each others as$es. If this had been in the private sector and Harper had been a supervisior his butt would have been TERMINATED. But this administration has a habit of sweeping stuff under the rug especially when it was one of Turner's golden children. Just goes to show you who was running this dept at the time. It sure wasn't the egghead that's at the top. Now Gentry is running it.

I can tell you first hand she saw the $$$. I have talked with many from the 6th division and fom what I heard Debbie was in his office trying to be a District Detective. If you dont believe me ask someone from the sixth!

What is going on in the 4th District with Kit Steimle? Im out of the loop. I heard he is getting a day suspended for making fun of an asain officer, and he is in the running to be a Major!!!! It looks like Kim Kraeszig is not running her District and Kit Steimle is. I just heard today Kit took away the A & B schedule from the platoons, and Chris Moormon has started a hostile work environment law suit against the 4th Dist Command Staff. Wow if he gets promoted i sure hope they dont send him out to my district.

I said it before Steimle is an idiot. Case closed. J Harper if he did what was said he should have been fired. This administration is so fuc? up, it kinda reminds me of Congress. Intead of putting in 12 to run it we have about 12 that needs to go. I'm glad retirement is coming soon, maybe the city will hire me back as a consultant at $125k a year.

Its funny how there is a really good article posted on what a team of officers are doing to help burglary victims in the area and only 18 people posted, but you put smut on here about officers' lives and misgivings and hundreds of people post ( with no name attached)...Sad, very sad. I really feel sorry for the few persons that put garbage on these articles and cant even back it up, or even post who they are. I bet whoever you are, you have felt that your department has wronged you in some way. Well, guess what? Get over it. Its hard for some qualified people to even get a job anymore and you have a decent living, but all you do is complain about everyone and everything. I can only hope if my home is robbed or I am, that YOU dont respond. I want someone who cares and is mature enough to know that everything in this world is NOT fair, but you deal with it!

Let's put it this way Mr Flowers. We work for a very VINDICTIVE dept. If it wasn't for that fact alone names would be posted. You need to come to a roll call or a ride along and see the sh^t we put up with. The citizens that we DEAL with on a daily basis could give a dam$ less about the police. Also the command could care less we are nothing but a code number and a pay slip to this city. Hel* the admin doesn't even know who retired this year unless they were the rank of Lt. or above. most of suck at investigating...The courier journal had a LMPD police discipline database... it is data from merger to about late 2010.... You can see every officer and what they were disciplined for. geeeeezzz As public record KS has three since merger...

Yes I came on with the county, but I have had no ill will or anything bad ever, to say about the guys in the city. Yes some do. But it's worse for the former city guys. Hate county guys. Feel that there is no crime or your not a real officer unless your a city officer. Last time I checked, we wear the same uniform, make they same reports and even deal with the same s*&theads. These older guys a ruining it for everyone else because that the new mind set of new guys. Metro narcotics is doing what they have been told to do. Can't blame them. Hobby and Keltner were given permission to do what they have, and great for them. Regardless who it is or where they are at least someone is doing it. And the last time I checked newburg was in the county division.And look where all the idiots are moving from downtown, the county. Everyone stop the bs. Can't we all just get along.

sick of the animosity. tired of the ranting. We are all in the boiling pot together. This department has a terrible command staff. This department is run by screaming left wing politicians. This department was loaded with obstacles because Jerry Abramson was the real boss for 7 yrs since HIS merger!

We can overcome. This department has some of the best people I have ever worked with (this dept., another, USMC). I get depressed over the stupidity just like everyone else. I get angry b/c of the way we are treated as well. What brings me through and keeps me going is the cause. We may be employed at the 'pleasure' of the mayor and his appointed chief, but we answer to the TAXPAYERS. That's what keeps me going: the working class. The people that support my salary. I refuse to give up on them. Let's fix this place from the inside out! The honest folk will support you. I will not give up.

Anyone hear about some firefighter who beat and stomped some guy in the parking lot of a bar in St. Matthew's? How come that didn't make the news? Heard he put the guy in the hospital, in critical. Damn firefighters get away with everything and we always get jammed in the press. Friend said he got arraigned Tuesday, but no report on the news or the paper.
