CONSPIRACY: Man allegedly planned to kill two J-town police officers

Wow. What an awesome attitude. He didn't get a chance to hurt or kill anyone because officers out there did their job and shut him down before he had a chance to follow through with his disgusting plans. He's not just "troubled" young man ( about to turn his life around, blablabla..) He's a criminal and this is not his first run in with the law. We live in a sick society that's only made worse by people's ridiculous inability to take responsibility for their actions. This is usually as a result of being told what they're doing is excusable because they're "troubled".

I will assume, either rightly or wrongly, that you do not understand the law and are not just trolling. The difference between simple talk and conspiring to commit a crime is when someone takes an overt act towards doing whatever you talked about. If you planning to kill someone with a rifle and then go get a rifle soon afterwards, then you're acting in a conspiracy. If the news stories are accurate and there weren't any major errors in how it was handled, then this will be a very easy case to prove.

What if this drain on society wanted to kill you or someone in your family and police said "oh all he is doing is talking about it and venting". Would you want the police and courts to investigate it, arrest him on conspiracy and hold him in jail or just let him vent as you put it? You would want this piece of crap off the street before he could hurt anyone especially your liberal a55. If you want people like this coddled invite them to live with you and don't call the police when they hurt you, just go on with life and remind yourself that they are troubled. As far as I am concerned he should ROT in jail as an attack on the police is an attack on society in general and he has no redeeming qualities. How would you feel if the police let him go on with his plan but were waiting for him and just before he could pull the trigger they killed him instead? You would probably be one of the first to line up and say they could have stopped him prior to killing him and the police were wrong. You cannot have it both ways. They either stop him before he does it or when he is doing it,. The later would have saved taxpayer money with the courts and jail.
