First off; Greetings from next to the tree, we're having drinks after my shift

Second of all; MOST not all of you do not know a bit about we do. Surrounded by 6 or 7 computer screens, in a dark little dungeon, waiting to hear something you never want to, not being able to see or hear anything, not being able to be there and help any of you when you need it the most; therefore we help to the best of our ability; getting you that extra set of hands or that hogtie or that spitsock to keep that piece of garbage from showering you with his/her saliva. As mentioned before, there are good cops, bad cops, good dispatchers and bad dispatchers, we know who they are; no need to throw names out there like some Class change at the local Middle School. Yes, some may ask you to 10-9 every now and then, how do you know we don't have 3 or 4 other people talking to us about ANOTHER incident we may be handling, or calling your complaintant back, because you're too lazy to go FIND them, hell we may even be running a subject on a run you are en route to, because we sense he pose a potential to your or any other human life at any given time. Remember, you deal with one incident at a time, we deal with MANY ;) We get tired of the same BS runs that you all do as well. Do you think we hate calling you all for the third or fourth time in one tour because Johnnie hit Kaneisha and then threw her keys on top of her apartment building, well we do. Also, it sickens me to know that someone would bash someone on a public message board, someone who holds their life in their hand; and not even have the guts or courage to even leave a name to go with it. Hell I thought having courage and guts was essential to being a police officer; maybe I was wrong. But anytime you want to discuss any of the previous matters; we can sit down like grown adults, and do that. 410 S. 5th St. Third Floor.

To those who stood up and defended us; you get it. We are all on the same team; and we truly appreciate those kind words and thoughts. As for myself; I know I do. Most of you know that I dealt with a critical incident not too long ago; and it was very traumatic with the best of endings. I was able to deal with it due to the acts of kindness and the thoughts and appreciation of those who offered. So, the next time you do hear a Tone; it's not that we are trying to be asses; it is because we care. We care enough to strap in and do it each and every day. We care that you are able to make that next BS run, to get that next lockup, we care enough to make sure that you get to go home at night to that significant other whomever he or she may be, along with being able to see your kids; if you are blessed enough.

Thank You.
