I just want to clarify, you DON'T have a mic? Most of the radios that I've seen, including my husband's (also an LMPD officer) has a mic with a long cord that he will attach to his shoulder. Also, his radio will plug into a car charger that can be used as a car radio. Now, if you are too lazy to utilize the equipment allocated to you and/or not willing to learn to use the equipment, there is nothing we can do for that. I would love for you to share with us where you were a dispatcher, just merely out of curiosity. Would also like to know where you went to school so I can make sure that my friends and family avoid sending their children there. Thank you to all the other officers for your positive comments and support, bottom line I guess is that it sure would be boring world if we were all alike.
