There's a difference. No accident. It's kinda like firing your weapon, when it is not appropriate. No one hurt, lower penalty. Someone hurt or killed, higher penalty. Besides, do you want the standard for speeding to be 30 days suspended? Is that what you are asking for?

Do you have the facts? I would not comment about something you may not have any idea about. Many police officers speed. More so than not!! So most cops would be guilty of that .

Maybe some of you should be looking at your own faults instead of focusing on someone else when you do not know the facts.

You clearly have a personal problem with CT. You sound like the trucker comparing speeding to a fatal accident. I find it amazing that when any of us don't like a guy because he's "pompous" or whatever, we justify calling for his head. But we'll defend our buddies to the bitter end even if they were blatantly wrong. That's not what this job was supposed to be about. Seeing the disloyalty shown on this site, it's every man for himself around LMPD these days. And can I ask how you know how fast he was going? Were you there? Or you are just believing the flagrant exaggeration of gossip the way citizens in this city do? I heard 90 and now it's all the way up to 130 or 140. Funny how that works. You are part of the problem, believing the wildfire of gossip without knowing any facts. I don't envy him right now, that's for sure. I hope you're never caught in human error lest you get discussed and bashed by your own co-workers on a public website. Show me a cop that hasn't been speeding somewhere off duty and I've got some swamp land to sell you, my friend.
