So, how long will it take to get those officers on the street, and how many will LMPD be short before that happens? We really aren't adding officers, just backfilling.

Why does it always take violence or death against police officers to get anything done? We don't need to be reactive when it comes to our wellbeing we need to be proactive!

Quick, somebody write some new department policies to make the city safer! If every officer spends 7 hours of their shift filling out paperwork, then they would only be exposed to danger 1 hour per day (the logic of the career office-cops)

Well maybe if judges such as the jerk mentioned below were actually held accountable for their very poor decisions and total disregard for the safety of Law Enforcement and citizens some of these animals would not be on the street to murder anyone in the first place. Please remember Judge MCKAY CHAUVIN come next elections. The case he thinks would make one wonder what would require such a bond is an animal that was out on bond already and shot at two Police Officers wounding one of them.

..................................In court on Thursday, Watts' public defender argued that the current $250,000 bond was excessive, and the judge agreed.

"It's an exceedingly high bond that anybody who looks at it on its face, it does sort of make you wonder, 'Wow, what is this case that required this bond?'" said Judge McKay Chauvin.
