I agree with you! The parents should be held responsible. Do they plan on trying to sue then donating all the money to Mother AGainst Drunk Driving or some other charity? If not - it is all about the money. Pathetic! Parents should never let their kids drive drunk. They should be ashamed of themselves for talking Civil Suit as they share a huge responsibility. They did own the car she was driving.

Actually, it is legal for a parent to give their minor child alcoholic beverages. But the question is, did she drink at the other friend's house, too? Does your 21 year old go to a party, drink a beer, and then drive home? Do you EVER go to Applebee's, have a beer or two, and drive home? Tolerance levels vary widely - they may not have realized how much she'd actually had.
