Once again, no one can tarnish our badge as much as we do. A rookie who is drunk and stupid at the same time. Not only is she drunk and fighting in / around a bar she has to fight the offiers who come there. Shows no respect for anyone except herself. I wonder if it was officers she has worked with or went thru training with? In short she needs to be fired. Lets see who long this one will take the administration to handle.

Let's see, a couple of lil spoiled brats out thinking they can get drunk and do whatever they want because my sister is the police and my rich daddy knows someone. Then they are given every opportunity to leave but refuse, so they decide to fight the arresting officer?!?!? What's happens when her beat partner decides to arrest one of her friends, is she gunna fight them too? She fights a fellow officer, what would she do to a citizen? Too much liability there, cut this one loose. Now!

They don't teach fighting in the academy anymore? No bruises or blood, wouldn't really classify that as a fight. Metro just can't get out of it own way.

UNFORTUNATELY IN THE BROTHERHOOD ALOT OF PEOPLE THROW ROCKS FROM GLASS HOUSES! THIS IS NOT A CASE OF A THOUGHT OUT CRIMINAL ACT IN WHICH SOME OFFICER'S COMMIT AND ARE STILL ON THIS POLICE DEPARTMENT. I KNOW

HER AND TRULY BELEIVE SHE HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME A GREAT OFFICER. I HOPE SHE CAN MAINTAIN HER JOB

AND WE CAN LEARN TO STAND BEHIND ONE ANOTHER.

I know the press is generally all over anything we do. They are always so far up our @$$. But really, how did WAVE3 break the story less than 12 hours after she was booked!! Are we tattle-telling again??

It's time to stop hiring college educated kids with NO LIFE EXPERIENCE and men and women with High School diploma's who WANT TO BE THE POLICE and have lived a little.....

I'm betting she won't be fired and here are her defenses:

1.) The officer who charged with assault 3 is also the victim. Officers who charge crimes when they themselves are the victim

make their cases vulnerable, because there is no separation of interests. If this officer was a victim of a felonious assault, he should have allowed someone else to investigate and make the charge. This will become an acquittal.

2.) She will make the case that her behavior was alcohol induced (an not normal behavior) which is an accepted social norm. She will therefore be allowed to "fix" the problem and be allowed a probationary extension.

WE need to look at this and all take something from it. There are way too of us that go out and think we can drink as much as we want and do what we want. I stopped working the Bars for things just like this. I knew it was a matter of time before I had to lock up another cop. GUYS and GALS...please stop partying so damn hard! If you have to drink this much do it at home. I can think of a handful if incidents in the last few years where we have made jack-as ses of ourselves. We have enough bad ink going right now...stop adding fuel to the fire! Having a badge in our pockets does not give us the right. This obviously does not apply to everyone and if it offends someone then maybe they need to take a good hard look in the mirror.

Maybe it's just me but why did the Courier find it neccessary to print her address in the article? She may have earned a place in line at 6th & Cedar but did they have to put out her home address?

Anyone carrying bottles of liquor into a bar, starting fights, and fighting with the police needs to go to Church and then to rehab. They're both lucky it ended this way instead of slamming into another car on the way home. You can only play Russian roulette so many times before the odds catch up with you. Consider this event to be a flesh wound.

Anybody have any insight to the rumors about adding a 9th division? I heard all the divisions are going to get shaken up and people will get moved.

Just another educated idiot we hired. Some officers of anew think they are invincible to any standards and to the law after they come out of the academy. Maybe issues of stupidity should be mandated in training. Alcohol and a badge doesn't mix, every officer on this dept knows that. So if your out drinking keep your mouth shut and as low a profile about being a officer as you can. A lawyer once said in class you can act in a situation while drunk and suffer the consequences or watch and be the best witness their is, she chose the first. This girl hasn't grown up and is a liability to this dept. There is no excuse for what happened and she should be tried as any other citizen charged with the same. I drink as most officers do but I'm not stupid and make an *** out of myself. This one did. SO FIRE HER and be done with it, I sure as Hel* don't want to work with her do you.

they promised me i could be the air unit in the new 9th. all i have to do is put my microphone on the other side of an operating fan while i talk so i sounds like i'm flying around and helping. they also said that as long as i don't tell anyone that i'm actually just in an office and not in a helicopter - i can get as 'high' as i want to!

I hope this Black Eye enjoys her time in the Property Room! She needed to have the slack jerked up in her pants. Pretty bad when you assault an officer then you assault a civilian. She needs to go and make room for some other person who wants the job! She made her bed, she can sleep in it.

The reality of this is she messed up and there is no excuse for it. Conduct unbecoming of an officer would cover it. The outcome could have been worse with injuries or if she pulled her weapon. I like how her attorney told the news they are willing to work with LMPD on her future. If the chief keeps her the mayor elect needs to step up and show he is willing to clean up the messes that some on this department have created. Hey chief, remember that the you serve at the will of the mayor.

This isnt that big of a deal....We have females that get DUI while in the academy but we still let them become officers. Good job Metro! Gotta let the instructors at the academy have their eye candy and facebook emails to female recruits...Turner/Pearson. Dont get caught ur wives might get pissed.

Just saw on 32 that the newest poster child of the department has resigned. Best decision she has made. Now the chief and his staff will not be on the hotseat to make it for her. Too bad as we could have seen what kind of department he wants from this one.
