Shoplifting u/$500 is a misdemeanor, and so is Assault 4th Degree domestic violence (also a misdemeanor). Do you seriously think that officers should not be arrested for these types of misdemeanors? "some felonies" - Are you serious? No wonder our department is so damn screwed-up right now, because apparently our chief also feels the same way that you do.
