Thats complete BULLS**T. More than half the guys and gals with 5-10 years on LMPD couldnt make it through the academy again or the POPS test for that matter. I know several guys on the dept that have had knee replacements and they can police circles around someone who can run five miles a day. Just because your in academy shape doesnt make you a great police officer. It helps SOMETIMES but not most of the time. We should all stay in good health and be physically fit for ourselves.
