Oldham judge-executive elect chooses police chief, planning and development director

As an older guy that came from the City side, I have to agree. I think merger has had some benefits, but for crying out loud if it had been accomplished by anyone but Jerry Abramson it probably would have worked. As it stands we have less Officers on the street than before merger, we have less ambulances on the street than before merger, we have less of everything .... all we have are bigger problems because we are too spread out and RCW's Decentralization plan was an enormous mistake. We should have worked to improve how we back each other up. Now nobody knows anyone, where they belong and there is no longer the sense of pride and camaraderie like before.
