The case of Louisville's naked cop |
RE: The case of Louisville's naked cop
Why do people keep saying Marlowe needs to be fired when there is nothing she is accused of been proven? She was the subject of a PIU investigation (criminal) which apparently yielded no criminal conduct. Remember, just because someone says it happened, doesn't mean it happened. Also, let's face it, Chief White fired Dison because of Dison's defiance. How the hell does someone get 19 days suspension in 2007 that could have lead to termination do the same thing in 2010? I don't think the Chief necessarily wants to fire police officers, especially given the effort it takes when a fired officer appeals the termination (which likely will always happen). If you are a police officer and do not want to get fired here are some tips:
don't commit a felony (whether prosecuted or not), don't do anything that will discredit LMPD (ie, using your official credentials to do bad things), don't abuse your power (including assaulting prisoners unnecessarily), don't commit any act involving moral turpitude (theft, perjury, dishonesty), and do your job in good faith (yes, mistakes are allowed but not when you display malicious intent).
