7th grader tased at Westport Middle School

I went thru the entire LPD process to be told they were not taking laterals. Got hired and went thru the entire 20 weeks of training even though I had 7 yrs previoius with a different department. Did I like it, NO. Did I do it because I wanted to be part of this department, YES. If you want to be here you will do what it takes as the rules are today. If you don't want to do it then don't apply. Alot of officers currently with us today left to come here and "start over" within the system. We lost time from the prior department but did what it took to get on and go forward. My point is just what I stated above. People will do what they need to do to get what they want or where they want. If you don't like the system go somewhere else.
