Mayoral candidates receive public safety endorsements |
RE: Mayoral candidates receive public safety endorsements
There are people out there in the law enforcement world who could easily look down their noses at you for your current assignment as you look down on Corrections, but they don't because they don't have any deep seated insecurities or attitude problems like you apparently do. I agree that officers should not be tying up the courts and jails with a bunch of non-violent misdemeanor bullsh*t charges. Why don't you just write a citation so your fellow law enforcement officers can get some dangerous people off the streets and go 10-8 in a timely manner. While I respect an officer's right to use their discretion, it's my opinion that putting people in jail for simple POM or similar charges is a waste of my valuable time so don't ask for any favors in the future.

And you wonder why people around the state talk down about LMPD? I know you find it hard to believe, but people no longer aspire to join LPD/JCPD/LMPD - they are happy working for places like Bowling Green, Ashland, even Shively, Jtown and St. Matt. How about showing respect for what fellow law enforcement officers do? Have YOU ever had to spend days on ends with prisoners? It's not easy to spend your days locked up with a bunch of people who are spending all their time plotting to hurt you, and YOU don't have a gun? How about volunteering to spend a shift on the other side of the grille?
