don't hate on us for having 13 on the bench. It's your own coworkers bringing in stupid crap that means nothing. Prosecutors don't care, judges don't care, why do you? And, don't give me the "It's my job" line. Arresting someone for something stupid is, well...stupid. They'll be back on the street before you get on shift tomorrow - so, really...what have you accomplished. If you think it's "something", please look up Sisyphus and his eternal fate in mythology. I'd suggest you and he have a lot in common.

Oh, and guess what? It's gonna get worse - we're instituting a program that will, for the first time in jail history here in Louisville, allow inmates to pay their own preset bonds via credit/debit card, or with money that's on their jail account. So, instead of being off the streets for 6-8 hours, they might very well get out in 2-3 hours. How's that make you feel? You could possibly get the same AI/DC guy twice in one night, maybe three times, since midwatch shifts are generally ten hours.
