Yeah, he has, and sad that Aubrey flat out refused his family's request to have the Sheriff's Office Honor Guard at the funeral. Thanks to the LMPD Honor Guard, however, he was laid to rest with at least some law enforcement blessing. For those who don't remember, he sent virtually all deputies to full academy training - when he did not have to do so, that wasn't required until 1998 - which enabled many of them to go on to other law enforcement jobs. (The only ones who didn't go were ones that had a specific medical reason not to attend.)
