The public does not deserve to wait like that. We have an obligation to provide our best efforts. If you lose the public, you lose the war. Remember, it could your family member or a family member of a fellow officer who needs our assistance, and alot of times we don't find out till we get on scene. And if they are calling for HELP, and I am one person, the majority of the time, I am going to go because that is what we do.
