Ya know, If you are gonna be putting someone's name on here when you are slamming them, then you should be putting your name with it.

If not then you are a coward, and are at the level of stabbing someone in the back. (yet you do not want them to know who did it)

The way this site has been used lately is disgusting. If it keeps going in this direction then it should be taken down.

If you don't like somebody you need to tell them. If you have a problem with how things are done, fine, but dropping names here, and you not putting your name with it? Shameful It is you individuals (and we see who you are) that give this site a bad name.

Finally, a couple of posts that make sense. Having served in the military and reaching the rank of a sergeant, worked on another department out of state that was about half the size of this one and now here for a while. We have some pretty weak Sergeants and Lieutenants. No I am not a CO, just a patrol Officer as I have chosen not to attempt promotion at this point in my career. The promotion process stinks with it being all about a test only, that is why we have such statements as the two previous ones. Left a platoon and shift I liked to get away from a sergeant that makes you miserable right out of roll call. Nothing positive or good to say and afraid to work with the officers. Anyone that was ever in the military knows about the point system and what you had to do to get promoted. No that was not perfect, but our department could incorporate a test plus require you to have completed other promotional requirements. Asked about this and was told that our FOP would have to agree to a change in the process to make it work. Imagine a Sergeant who can say they worked on a street platoon for 3 years at a minimum and maybe gets extra points for completing leadership schools, being a detective and other stuff before they could get promoted. Just thinking out loud but would maybe limit the incompetence of some of the ones directly over officers. By the way, from what I understand because of our system the Chief can't skip people on the list and not promote them that is why some of the ones promoted recently are so bad. I think he gets to skip them twice, but has to on the 3rd time or prove just cause of why they should not be. Meaning any trouble that is proven against them. I see this as a way for people to hide, stay out of trouble take the test, get promoted and continue to hide and hurt the rest of us.
