It is also inexcusable that we don't have a large K-9 unit. In a perfect world atleast one multi-purpose dog would be assigned to each division, or atleast staged in a manner that officers don't loose the reasonable time issues on their stops.

I know it's not the K-9 officers fault, they are dealing with the mess they have been given. But it is aggravating as F$%^ to get hammered in a suppression hearing in circuit court because K-9 had to be paged out, and the defense makes it sound like we are a bunch of incompetents.
