I couldnt agree more. No offense to our brothers in corrections, but you can forget any ideas of merger. Its not ever going to happen unless all corrections officers go through the police academy either here or in richmond. Thats the only way you willbe pops certified. You cant be grandfathered in as police officers because the law wont allow it. Even if LMPD does take over the jail nothing will change except a police major will oversee corrections. It wouldnt be any different than the KSP/KVE merger
