It was not for Section 8 Fraud. He was actually convicted several months ago in federal court on charges completely unrelated to fraud. For some unknown reason the department found out and did nothing. The rumor is The Section 8 Fraud story was concocted by the chief's office in response to his conviction becoming known and needing a cover to fire him quickly in the hopes of it going away and nothaving to admit they were aware of the real charges.
