You guys have too long accepted the silliness with being required to go to court when, in many cases, you simply aren't needed and they probably aren't going to listen to you anyway. If you go to court, make them work for it. Object to any deals, put it on record, even though you won't win, you WILL slow up the system. I particularly like the dayshift officers, come on guys, everyone on the platoon do something on a given day that will require you to be in court on the same day - I love it!
