That's why it's called "Training" to learn and be trained. Not to get the crap beat out of you. Everyone know's what go's on down in training, it's no secret, all it take's is one person to file a complaint and sue. Burbrink has done nothing but hire swat team members to be in training. And congrats deputy, job well done.

You must not have seen very much of the training or maybe you have just seen it recently since the bare foot ninjas left. Just from one academy class I have witnessed torn ACL's, people who were punched so hard in the face that it seperated the vertebrae in their neck, staples in the head due to a gash from being struck, broken ribs, fingers, wrists, noses, any many more. I witnessed someone who had a sock wrapped around their neck and were strangled. Two of the people from this class will have to see chiropracters for the rest of their lives due to injuries sustained during fighting and one person was off work for a year due to knee surgeries also sustained from fighting in the academy. When the majority of a class had injuries and had to file workers comp claims is this to much? When is the benefit of training and preparing recruits for the street surpassed by injury? When you are asking people to deal with injuries that will last a lifetime, I think it is a bit much. When you cant walk around the corner of the academy with out being kicked or punched by a barefoot ninja I think its to much. But everyone can justify it by saying "we're preparing them for the street." When is it to much??
