Deputy receives Medal of Valor

I totally agree!!!! they are already certified peace officer's, so why not let them come on over to lmpd. I dont know why they would honestly want to though, Sheriff Aubrey would be a great guy to work for. Congrats to the Deputy on the award, i'm alway's thrilled to see officer's recieve an award for their actions. With LMPD you almost have to be shot before they give anything to you. Im still waiting for the New's to do an article on the LMPD training academy, with all the recruits getting the heck beat out of them, and all the injuries they are recieving from the training academy staff. Everytime im there i see several recruits in arm slings, cast, it's making me wonder what the heck is going on down there. And several have told me they got the crap beat out of them by the trainers. No wonder the workers comp has raised through the roof, and it's hitting all of our pockets. But i dont think they need to be beat on just because the "bare footed ninjas" has an ego problem.

the problem is that the front office dosen't want to hire anybody that they dont think they will be able to brainwash into the metro mantra " stats,stats,stats, stab your buddies in the back, stats stats stats, stab your buddy in the back"..most laterals can think pretty good for themselves and see through the b.s, it has nothing to do with your qualifications. .. P.S. oops the stab your buddy mantra is saved for promotions....AAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH

I have to agree with that statement. We have gotten JCSO Deputies in the past who went to work after and abreviated academy to learn policies and procedures etc... I wouldn't want to sit through 32 weeks of BS if I ahd already been sworn in KY.
