Still, I agree with what he said about her being unclear about it being inappropriate behavior. IT WAS! And I'm not talking about what she wrote either. I couldn't care less about that. And 911 calls are public record anyway. I get the dark humor. People in our line of work (from 911 operators to cops to EMTs whoever) have to have that kind of humor, honestly. But the fact that she thought it was the least bit wise to jeopardize a great paying job w/ benefits in today's economy by posting public stuff on freakin TWITTER is just ridiculous. I'm sorry but really? I can't feel sorry for her because she was so dumb about it. We are constantly hearing on the news about people (including emergency services) getting in trouble at their job for stuff they've said and done on Twitter or Facebook. I know 2 people who got fired for griping about work through email on a work computer. She had the chance to make a smart decision and she didn't. For what? A little internet attention from complete strangers? She could have had a private account or a private blog to say the same things and screen who she allowed to read it. It's hard to feel for her when this was easily avoidable.

Satirical commentary directed at absurd people isn't adolescent. Adolescent would be their car getting egged or a flaming bag of dog crap left on their porch. 911 tapes can be obtained through open records so why is it such a big deal that they put them on the internet. Dispatchers also like to watch television or talk to their friends on the phone while dispatching. How is that any better than using Twitter?
