I can agree that it was stupid to leave obvious clues to her identity, but the only significant question should be whether or not it hampered her ability to do her job (which I would bet that it didn't). Unfortunately it seems like if you have any job connected to the police in this city then you have to be prepared to be readily sacrificed for the "city" to save face...
