You were one of us, weren't you? What you said makes a lot of sense....I've been on for a while, let's just say I know where Southfields is, and have put my time in out there..

And you're right. My coworkers, at least a few, think they know it all about the streets. I know quite a bit about how things works, having several close friends and family that are street officers, but I know my limitations. I don't work the street, and don't claim to....don't really want to, either. If I didn't need the cash, I wouldn't work off duty, but that's the way it goes.

Conversely, I've seen a few street officers who seem to need a map to find their own rear end. Turds exist in every agency, and I know more than one story that emanates from the guys at LMPD. I know a lot more from my side, of course, but that's to be expected. One last comment on the interagency stuff - our guy may have not been smart enough to not reach in a car after a suspect, but he knows enough to not shoot buckshot from over 70 yards away while behind other officers....can some folks at LMPD say the same?
