Off-duty corrections officer injured in attempt to stop shoplifter |
RE: Off-duty corrections officer injured in attempt to stop shoplifter...
While I understand what you're saying, the length of time spent in training isn't exactly relevant. If it were, then some of your ******* coworkers wouldn't do the stupid things I've seen them do. After all, you guys get 32 weeks of training, plus 20-something on PTO prior to being released....and "some" of them still don't have a clue about how to deal with people, or handle a situation. Matter of fact, I was talking with an officer from another agency who left LMCD about two years ago. He just got dragged by a drunk about a month ago, and he's the "real police". We ALL do things wrong sometimes. This officer learned the hard way not to reach into a car.
Of course, I'm sure you're perfect, and NEVER make any tactical errors. I just hope you weren't one of the officers I watched search an empty building. We can start talking about training issues with that litte deal.
