A United Nations committee said that use of Taser weapons can be a form of torture, in violation of the U.N. Convention Against Torture. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/11/25/national/main3537803.shtml

That's just another policy to him the officer up, sorry i cant help where the probes go, i will aim for where i'm taught, but the probes go wherever. Just take the taser's away and give me a raise, i can live without the taser, i would rather have the money spent on them to better support my family. Regardless if you use them the correct way your still going to have some activists group claiming you did wrong, so your damned if you do and damed if you dont. That's what's wrong now with America, these groups claimin foul on the police, but let them get robbed, shot, stabbed, and see who they call and want something done. I hate the naked guy standing in the middle of the roadway died, but what is the police suppose to do????? would it be better if the cop got assaulted by the naked guy for doing his job?? or better if he got run over by an innocent motorists driving home at nite from work minding their own business??? could have been anyone of us or our family member's driving down that road that nite. Better yet, just dont call the police to act on stuff like that, cause it's going to do nothing but get the officer in trouble trying to save innocent people from pillors of the community such as that. How great is this more training for the officer's on stupid stuff, when we could be on the street protecting the citizens. God it makes me want to retire and get out of this job, no wonder officer's get discouraged and want to quit or retire early, officer's never use to get their 20 and get out, now it's every month officer's are retiring at 20 years, use to be 25 and over 30 years, guess they are smart. Like Burbrink know's anything about the street, he's been off it for many many many years, let the brass get out there and police the streets and deal with the nice citizens that we do and maybe they will understand how hard it is, and how easy it is to get in trouble and face departmental sanction's if you dont follow a policy, kinda hard to follow a policy when your fighting for your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's all i have to say. Makes me sick how this command staff dont stand up for the officer's whom are out there everyday working to keep the peace, and keep citizens safe and sound. But let comp stat come around with all the burglaries and robberies, murders etc and they are going crazy to do something, but if you do something you can face departmental policies and get suspended. No wonder it's getting to where officer's dont want to do anything, why should you when you can get suspended. Take the taser and give me a raise, my family sure could use it, i still got my baton!!! oh but wait, we may beat someone to hard---fighting for our life, or use our peper spray, but wait that may blind someone, make's me sick. Best of luck to the young officer's with the everchanging murders, robberies, home invasion's, to the innocent public who have no clue what's going on out in the real world.
