CIT

What changes have been made on the part of EMS? Recently we have been informed that we would make all CIT runs and would evalute the patients and determine whether or not a refusal would be taken based on pt condition. No offense but If I make patient contact I am transporting. I am not going to respond take a refusal so the police can transport. The ambulance is quite capable of that. When is EMS on the street level going to go through any type of CIT training?
