Louisville appeals take-home car ruling

August 4th, 2009 @ 12:00PM (15 years ago)

If the city wins this in the end, I will not let them take anymore money from me, PERIOD!

I feel it is not fair that they control to what I do with the vehicle and still charge me for it, dictate what I do on my off time with it, and threaten to sanction me and possibly take my job if I do not comply. The opinion of the public seems to be that we have a free ride, and the media feeds on that.

It is not worth paying money to work for free.

We all knew that abramson would appeal the ruling. It is in his nature to foolishly appeal cases he has no chance of winning and dragging them out. Remember he does not have to pay for this out of his pocket. The taxpayers are paying for yet another foolish mayoral appeal.

I like the part when two quotes above" ?infringed on executive discretion.? and "?made the determination that it would be economically prudent to ask the court for a review.? How in the hell can it be economicallly prudent to waste tax dollars on appeals? The other quote from hizzoner simply means he didn't get away. Like a spoiled child instead of doing what is right and moving forward in the best interests of everyone he is sitting on the kitchen floor kicking and screaming and pounding his fists on the floor, throwing another tantrum. Abramson does not take losing lightly.

He drug the Firefighters case out over 10 years and God knows how much money was wasted.

I hope the FOP starts calculating interest because if it takes 10 years to get the money back he stole then i want every dime as if I invested it at the current rates of interest.

I find it IRONI at best, that this mayor has decided to leave office at a time when he has run the city down financially and OWES over 50 million to the firefighters (yep that is right, 50 MILLION) once you figure in legal cost and interest, which I have been told is being COMPOUNDED every quarter his holiness and the city don't pay.

The next mayor/chief executive of the combined Jefferson County-Louisville Metropolitan area will be F*U*C*K*E*D and the lemmings of our city will begin to talk about how wonderful his moronship is. The man is a FRIGGIN' genius.

I have repeatedly stated that I would much rather have the 8000 to 9000 a year (the dollar amount the mayor has placed onto the value of the car to the media) added to my check and then they CAN TAKE THE RIDE and shove it. The reality is that I only kept it in support of the FOP, and that cost me plenty.

It is my understanding that circuit court can only review how the proceding wenton the cars not the VERDICT. They can only make sure the procedure was according to contract. If I'm wrong then help out FOP. As for Jerry yes he is leaving this city oweing more than the FEDS owe the public right now. I pity the next mayor who has to pay all Jerrys lawsuits off. But it probably was planned that way. See Jerry can come back later and say the new mayor broke the city while in office. Jerry can then run again as his self appointed SAVIOR and get elected if things don't work out in Frankfort. The people in this city will will buy it because he thinks he is KING. We keep showing all his faults and the BIG HEAD just keeps throwing his tantrums. Blame everybody but who is at fault. I hope one of these days I see a FED indictment come down with BIG HEADS name on it for misuse of go'vt money. I'm a firm believer you will get caught sooner or later.

First, everyone keep a positive attitude and believe that for once something will go our way. The Mayor has made is an issue try and take away from those whom obviously care more about the city than he does. It has been shown recently in the media that all he cares about is lining his pockets and trying to hide it so he can look like he's one of the good guys. Crook should have a picture of the mayor along side the definition in the dictionary. Lets look at everything that has happened lately and see how companies, persons wanting to move to Kentucky and small businesses are being shown a corrupt city ( administration, chief rw,the mayor and members of the council and not to mention a certain officer whom should have been fired for doing exactly what the mayor does except she didnt hide it as well) it looks to me likea start of a small Chicago. Nothing surprises me anymore with the Mayor, he hates us and we wont be free of his grasp until he is out of office.

IF we do loose and I mean IF lets stand together and give every single car back and start doing our jobs as an 8-5 no more no less.

A famous person said,"give them nothing but take from them everything". Obviously the people of this city are behind the Mayors decision to continue to fight, so if we loose stop giving them free services.

If our sources are correct, the big announcement from the Save Chicken Run Foundation is coming late this afternoon or early tomorrow morning. Of course, if we have an excess amount of rain, that could delay this announcement. Our sources, although not giving any details, have said that the announcement focuses on the Beshear/Abramson ticket blowing other governor contenders out of the water. Stay tuned......

"EXCITING" NEWS FROM THE BESHEAR/ABRAMSON CAMPAIGN

August 7th, 2009 @ 12:35AM (15 years ago)
Posted by: Deputy Darrell

Hello again, it's Deputy Darrell from the Save Chicken Run Foundation. We apologize for keeping you waiting this long, but we had to verify the following news.

This past week, Governor Joe Manchin of the Appalachian state of West Virginia met with current Kentucky governor Steve Beshear and his running mate Jerry Abramson. The topic was merger. Jerry Abramson is currently the mayor of Louisville, proudly proclaimed the 16th largest city in the country. Abramson was mayor prior to and ever since the city of Louisville merged with Jefferson County. At this meeting, Governors Manchin and Beshear sat in awe as Abramson relayed story after story of the successes of his merger. Abramson, who is sometimes referred to as "Mayor for Life" in Louisville, perservered despite massive amounts of opposition to the merger. Although some of his constituents believe Abramson may have involved himself in questionable business deals and shady politics, there is no question that Louisville is larger now than it has ever been. "And that is the most important part," says Abramson. "We are the 16th largest city, and that might change give or take a few births. But as long as we are merged, we will always be bigger than we were." After Abramson's speech, both governors called an immediate meeting with their combined staffs. Potential Lieutenant Governor Abramson was given the floor, and the following proposal was drawn up.

Kentucky, the 37th largest state, and West Virginia, the 41st largest state, should merge immediately following the next election. There will not be a public up or down vote, just an executively immune stipulation from the governorships of the involved states. Beshear and Manchin will remain in their current office as governors of their respective territories (Although Beshear has asked if he can retire during hunting season and come back after that). Abramson, with his experience, will become King of KENT WESTUCKIRGINIA!!!!!!

I'm sure many of you have questions. Your chance to be heard will come. It will most likely be after the merger, since the administrations will be busy trying to find enough people to staff the offices of deputy kings and territory spokespersons. As far as any other details, such as where to park everyone at the new capital building, will also be dealt with after the merger has successfully taken place and the new capital building has been built.

Once again, I thank you for your patience waiting for this news to come out. And don't forget--never go around a traffic barricade. You'll get locked up for 22 years for committing uh .......... Ah, nevermind.

This is Deputy Darrell

As the Mayor of a small Kentucky town, I believe Mayor Abrahmson has done an outstanding job for the city of Louisville and I believe he will do an equally fine job as LT. Governor. I wanted to give him a hand for a job well done as I know he would reward me. If possible, I would like to invite Mayor Abrahmson to a friendly get together that will be held at connections this cumming Friday. I would also extendz an invitaion to all your spokemembers as I believe they will fit in the crowd, among other things. After our get together, we will carpool back to Chicken Run where we will continue the festivities.
