Abramson will run for Lt. Governor in 2011

Nahhh, because state workers won't stand for it like city workers. Remember, Beshear tried to institute a furlough, but the legislature conveniently neglected to pass a law permitting him to do it. And Abramson isn't going to have "power" in the state legislature like he does with Metro Council.

One thing to watch for, will Mongiardo resign BEFORE the end of term to concentrate on his election, and if so, Beshear will appoint Abramson immediately and Tandy will take office (provided it happens during his term as president). Probably won't change out the Chief immediately, but only Tandy could "safely" get rid of the Chief at this point anyway.
