LMPD officer under investigation by FBI & PIU

I, Deputy Darrell, would like to make an announcement. Recently, I asked my advisors to form an exploratory committee to determine whether it would be in everyone's best interests for me to run for Mayor of Louisville.

My platform will have 3 points. First, anyone who has been found guilty of a felony is no longer eligible for any assistance from the city, state, or federal government. That would include food stamps, housing, or baby momma checks. Second, a neighborhood association can vote to expel anyone from their neighborhood. Due to the severity and fallout of such actions, I would require a 80% majority of all present voters in order to allow this "purging of our city." This would override the regular time period for an eviction. Lastly, sworn police officers can vote to have certain members of society "fixed." Again, due to extreme severity of such actions, it must be proven fact that the individual has been found guilty of a felony and that their offspring would do likewise. A 90% majority of voting officers will be required in order to allow this "purging of our city."

My other campaign promises include, but are not limited to, the removal of all mayoral spokespersons, mayoral personal security team members, deputy mayors, and anyone who retired and was rehired to work directly for the current administration. I promise that within my first term, we will see no less than a $20 million surplus per year. Read my lips, no new library taxes. My final promise is that if we are to involve ourselves with any building projects, such as arenas, we will make sure we have all parking problems solved before we start building.

This is really sad that the city of Louisville is risking their integrity as a whole for a police officer who has on NUMEROUS occasions displayed that she is unworthy to be on the police force, or in any type of authoritive position. What is really sicking is I placed a complaint on her and her then police boyfriend William Leflore about being dishonest and setting people up for charges.......Years later..THIS....just shows that a Tiger can't lose its stripes! My prayers are with her. She needs to look to God for a change in her life and resign from the police force...this is why the "police" have the bad reputation they have. Thanks to WHAS11 for getting this out to the public...now the question is how is the city going to react when this dishonest police officer arrest someone.....I would love to be their lawyer!!!

Yes this is a picture of the person we are all talking about on this post. Its funny how absolutely no one is coming to her defense because they all know her to be crooked and criminal. To the officers who have to work with her, watch your back she will stab you without any notice. She is a criminal.

Makes you wonder how many other dirty cops are still on the payroll because of incompetence and department politics.

What isn't said in the article is this:

Members of the BPOA didn't want to cooperate? Why? I don't know. With out a victim, gaining a conviction before a JURY is fairly hard. Does that mean I feel she is innocent? NO... In fact I think she as a big a thug as her son(s)... I am, and have been, disgusted with the FEAR felt by members of command in issuing punishment to persons known to have committed a crime / offense WHO ARE not caucasion... Yep, they (the command above Sgt.) fears this fact.

Why? In the past histories of both JCPD and LPD, now LMPD, we have had unsavory behavior by non-black members of the department toward black members and citizens (IT IS A FACT)... But the reaility is that those days are well behind us and if this command staff wants to show ANY LEADERSHIP this is a great case to step up to the plate with.

After that, I have the names of others I have sent information in on that they can target.

If my dues went towards her crime I would be infuriated. It John McGuire had done this he would be in prison, and rightfully so. A thief is a thief is a thief. She is a criminal and should be fired. This case should be reopened and she should be prosecuted and if a jury so decides she should go to prison. At leadt she'll have family friends she can hang out with..

David Stengel.....you admit there are problems in your office. Here is a glaring one in case it escaped your attention. Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Mark Baker should be reprimanded at the very minimum and the case reassigned to a good prosecutor that is willing to do their job. I can't believe his statement. Police Officers are and should be held to a higher standard. This person has proven she has no integrity and should be prosecuted for these crimes. Unbelievable! I am so angry I can't see straight! Yet this administration has chosen to do nothing about it at all. That should be investigated be the feds.

Troy Riggs....how would you know about complicated cases. You have been a house cat your whole career. Grow a set and admit we have not only enough evidence to prosecute her but immediately FIRE her.

I never once saw where she appologized for her actions or offered to repay anything. Usually that is part of the agreement to keep form going to prison. This arrogant criminal flaunts it and it is apparently condoned by the top brass. Why isn't she suspended? Why hasn't she been fired? I have seen them fire people for a lot less.

I actually like where she said it was preditory lending from BB T and she expects an appoligy from them once she is cleared. Isn't that just like her arogance to change the subject from how she (suspected) stole from others to pad her own pocket to how others are at fault. I do know if she was going to teach my child in the dare program I would pull them from the class as I do not trust her. She is a perfect example of a waste of the uniform. There has always been the rumers of her being less than honorable. This is just the icing on the cake as anyone who would steal from the people they work with cannot be trusted. The Black Police Officers Association lost a building and money and they don't want to do anything about it. No one wants to prosecute it for lame reasons. I have to wonder if the person who did this was different would the outcome be the same?

I would like to see every person in the community that shares my outrage over this to call the Mayor's Office and the Chief to express their outrage over this criminal being allowed to carry a badge. Talk to any POlice Officer and they will tell you that this kind of crap makes us all madder than hell.

5 FREAKIN YEARS THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS AND DONE NOTHING!

They have mountains of evidence and won't prosecute unl;ess every victim comes in and talks to the Commonwealth's Attorney? BULL $HIT! Victim's never have to do that in any case. They may eventually be called in at a trial, but this is vut and dry.

Kudos to WHAS 11 for an outstanding article that clearly shows there is a criminal riding a beat that should be fired and in prison.

This is the same officer whose little "motorcycle club" was having a party off poplar level road at the union hall. They were drinking and smoking dope in the parking lot. When the 6th showed up she blocked the entrance with her police car. It didn't work out to well for her and her buddies.

This is also the same officer who during a gang inservice told the class that the reason louisville has gangs is because police officers "don't respect the babies."

I'll go ahead and pull the race card: If she were a white male officer, this would be the top story on the 6 oclock news for weeks. We would have been hearing about it for the last 5 years its been going on and she wouldn't be riding any beat in a division. She'd be on leave or behind a desk. What a joke. Yet no cries from JRC about this.

Here's my 2 cents worth. Like or or hate her, Jackie Hollingsworth is a sworn member of the police department. She has sworn to protect and serve, sworn to uphold the law and be an example for the community. She has broken her oath time and time again. She was in a cushy job teaching DARE to school children while her own kids became criminals. She has set a poor example for this department and this community.

The department has obviously turned a blind eye towards her behavior for years now. Behavior that would have gotten almost anyone else fired long before now. The administration, not the rank and file are to blame for these misdeeds. The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office obviously are performing malfeasance of their important office in this case.

I have never in my career seen someone be allowed to remain on the street when there is this much PROOF of her guilt. I would be interested in seeing the news outlets do a story on her disciplinary record and find out how many cases have been swept under the rug. This is just one of many.

This is such a travesty of justice. Why has this case taken 5 years to come to light? Why is she still carrying a badge and gun. Does the term "Conduct unbecoming and Officer" not mean anything to Chief White?

Does he think he can pretend this will go away and she will get nothing out of this? Termination is the only departmental option in order for this department to go forward with any shred of dignity. Whether or not she is prosecuted is entirely up to Stengel. The PIU investigators have compiled enough evidence to send her to prison. This is a crime in more ways than one.

Where is Abramson's spokespeople talking about this deplorable conduct? C'mon Mr. Mayor, you sound off about everything else. Don't you have an opinion about obvious corruption in your police department?

I am ashamed of the leadership of this department for sidestepping this issue and not taking decisive action. They can investigate Officers for minor complaints and hand down discipline in a couple of months. This case is so overwhelmingly obvious to everyone in the community that there is a rouge thug hiding behind the badge.

This is not a case of police protecting their own. Ask any Officer. You will hear them say she should be fired and prosecuted. She makes everyone that puts on the uniform look bad. The trust that the citizens place in us has been badly shaken and yet the department does nothing about it.

I am sickened by this whole mess. I do not want to see her get off with a slap on the wrist. This community and this department deserves justice and it is long overdue in this case.

This whole color thing is getting ridicules. The officer should be fired AND be indicted. In the words of Mattie Jones, this is a triffling travesty! What would Louis say? What would Leflore say?

All I can say is that while I am outraged, I am not shocked. I understand that this coverup was being done by certain members of the cadre, the attorneys office, and apparently by every black member of the black officers association, but every cop who is here speaking of how these rumors circulating for years also bears part of the responsibility. If I had a fellow driver who was somehow "hooked up" and had not been punished for drivingdrunk, I would feel it my responsibility to go outside the company and try to ensure this person was indeed caught.

While many of you may not have condoned the things this officer was/has been doing for many years apparently, why didnt you take a course of action yourselves? An anonymous phone call to a news agency?

Maybe its just the human nature of a scandal breaking out and a bunch of people claiming knowledge of something they knew nothing about, which does happen a lot, I dont know. It just sickens me that this officer still wears a badge, still has the authority to charge someone else for crimes that they condone for themselves.

I am equally curious to see why the black officers association havent initiated an investigation on their own, why there isnt outrage from those members, and why they havent been frothing at the bit to have her prosecuted. It would seem that this ongoing incident couldnt have happened without some sort of intentional coverup from other officers.

luckily i don't know her. if this is true - and it sure appears to be true, IT IS SICKENING. No doubt she is in deep with, or has some serious undeniable dirt on Jerry - anyone else would have been crucified. Way to go Hollingsworth - take away all credibility from the real cops who do care about the community. This is not a white/black thing. This is a right/wrong thing. Don't get confused. Every black officer I have worked with in this dept. is every bit as good as any white officer. Just because this dirtbag may have played the race card, we shouldn't assume that others would do the same thing. Lets see...miss court one time and get an investigation and probably suspension...steal $15000 and get nothing. Is something not quite right here....or is it just me?

Let's see, this is the same person who used to hang out in cotter homes with her police radio. Called into the old 4th to make people get off the payphone at 3 brothers market so she could use it but would refuse to come into the district to use the phone there. Let her crack head family drive around in park hill using her marked police car calling in false runs. The same person who when her family was caught with narcotics by the 3rd district flex guys got his vehicle released from the impound lot before they could get the search warrant executed on it. Went to district court, and identified herself as another police officer to the prosecuter ( who was fairly new at the time) and got narcotics charges dropped against another family member. interfered with the apprehension of another drug dealer to the point where she actually tackled that officer so that the suspect could get away and then tried to bring charges against them.

This latest with the embezzelment is a new one on me ( however i do recall how she paid off sme friends to repave the parking lot of that organization and pocketed a good chunk...that got sept also ) so it really no surprise. All of these events were reported and nothing done. Period. It's a shining example of how this administration deals with it's "friends" no matter what they do......Kudos to you Jackie..you must really have some good dirt on a bunch of folks in the head shed.........Capt ahab

Hey what do you expect! We have LIEutenants we were promoted with open PIU cases that are still open to this day (three or four years later). Must be cool to be on the bowling team.

And Riggs is an idiot, show me one just one case in all of fraud that has taken five years to investigate. Why didn't stutterin Bob speak to the media? Is he hiding something? Is there a connection to this officer that the cheif does not want anyone to know? Maybe someone on the council can get a street in the westend named after Jackie. The following is a jail house letter that Hollingsworthless' son wrote to his co-defendant prior to their murder trial. It is quoted from the appeal Drashawn Bartlett v Commonwealth (2007-SC-000289-MR). Overlook the creative use of the English language and pay particular attention to the part referencing his mother's(Hollingsworthless) desire to speak with his co-defendant to give him some advice. In addition to providing narcotics dealers with radios, obstructing justice, and embezzlement, we can now add witness tampering and jail house counsel for criminals.

Girton's counsel asked Bartlett on cross-examination if that was not what

happened, and when Bartlett denied urging Girton to take responsibility,

counsel had him read to the jury two notes he had written to Girton while they

awaited trial . The first note, written in two parts on the front and back of a

sheet of paper, stated,

deal like 20/85 but if I get it broke down I could get

less . If I can get this other robbery off me I'm str8 a lil

blood clot in her leg. But I'm sorry to hear bout your

moma. Is she str8? Plus the only reason I aint said

nuttin to you is cuz you aint said nottin to me and I b

tryin hard to get the g.e .d . ******** str8 feel me. Holla

back lil Brah . Hunnit."

Robert White, have you ever wondered why your officers cannot stand you? This case is a shining example of your fine work. You insist on punishing as many officers possible for minor complaints such as not being curteous, or retroactivly, regarding court appearances from 2007. Consistently, YOU have allowed officers that have committed serious crimes to retire without any sort of punishment by dragging your feet with investigations, and then closing them by exception due to officer retirement. This pattern of your ineptness as a leader coupled with your complete and utter refusal to discipline your commanders is the cause of the cancer that has ravaged this department since your arrival.

Very disconcerting & alarming

"CAN I GET A WHOOP WHOOP!"

I would like to make a comment that as a citizen of this community I am curious about why no other news outlet, The Courier-Journal, FOX41, WAVE2 or WLKY32 have made no mention of this at all. Why have I heard nothing from the Mayor's Office or the Chief's Office? Aren't they the first ones to go on the air and give statements about issues that arise in our city especially those that give our city a bad name?

I would like to thank WHAS11 and LMPD.com for bringing this story to the public. The cat is out of the bag now and now for 4 days we have still heard nothing from Chief White. Why is that ? Is there new evidence that has been uncovered that he is perusing? I doubt it, he has had this case in his hands for 5 of the 6 years has been here and chosen to do nothing about it. Always before he could say it was because the case was still under investigation. You cannot say that anymore.

I also have a comment to David Stengel. Do you nap all day at work and not actually supervise any of your prosecutors.? Do you let them set policy independent of the Commonwealth's concerns?

This case is a travesty of justice in more ways than one. We have an incompetent Police Administration that has drug their feet for 5 years on an obvious case of embezzlement, Official Misconduct and Conduct Unbecoming an Officer and they have done nothing about it. We have a Commonwealth's Attorney that refuses to prosecute and has set an unattainable standard for felony case prosecution. Last but not least we have a criminal wearing a blue uniform and carry a gun because neither of the two aforementioned entities will do the right thing.

I've been sitting here at my desk all weekend reading these posts trying to figure out how something like this could happen. An officer, constantly surrounded by controversy. Seemingly caught red-handed in the commission of a felony crime. The command staff, apparently aware of, or turning a blind eye to numerous infractions, unwilling to take any sort of disciplinary action. The Commonwealth's Attorney, also unwilling or unable to move forward with an investigation, making excuses and setting unrealistic conditions before proceeding. Everyone here thinks that this officer might have some unsavory knowledge or information that is keeping her insulated. But as I was sitting on my davan, watching the Tom Cruise Sunday movie marathon on TNT, a commercial promo for a TNT series staring Dylan McDermott came on and it hit me! Maybe Jackie is part of an elite, deep cover specialized unit that operates on both sides of the blurry line that separates order from chaos. Maybe the reason that she is allowed to continue unabated is that she is on the verge of exposing some super-villian with plans of world domination. Just think how bad we will all feel when she single handedly stops Dirty Joe Johnson and his sidekick ********-Eyed Mikey from parking an automobile in front of city hall with a nuclear weapon in the trunk. Maybe instead of vilifying her we all owe her a deep debt of gratitude.

Well, on a side note, I am very glad the department has a "BLACK" police officers association. No race issue there, no sir. Equality for all and all that. I wonder if it would be OK if someone formed a *WHITE* police officers assoication, and then denied certain members of the department membership based on their skin color? ACLU, how would that fly? I wonder if the Chief would support a "WHITE" police officers association?

And while we are on this topic, I **LOVE** Black Entertainment Television; nothing racist about that, nope, no way. And the American ******** College Fund. Nothing racist there.

Why it is perfectly acceptable for certain members of the community to set up organizations excluding whitey, but if whitey does anythign that even vaguly looks exclusionary it is racism.

I have read some posts on here that want to make reference to race. Race has nothing to do with this. This is a criminal act and official coverup. That is what this is all about. If it is being done because of race, thrn that is secondary.

CHIEF WHITE, im sure you read all these posts, i'm at a loss for words, with reading all these posts and what kind of person Jackie Hollingsworth is, this is definately scandalous. And she has not been prosecuted nor disciplined by you, with the 100's of pages of evidence that has been brought out through the investigation and the proof is there and still nothing done, but you let the courier journal do thier investigation on officer's not going to court and you start your own investigation into that, WELL no wonder the officer's dont want to go to court especially if you got one of your own brother's or sister's in blue testifying against you for a drug dealer in a trial. If i were a Police Officer i would still back her up on call's, that is what you do and unlike her you can be the better person and back her up on serious call's, and dont leave her hanging regardless she is still a police officer for now. Seems like Chief White is just hopeing this will go away, it's appauling to me knowing the very people we expect to protect us is as dirty as the usual criminals, and to me Jackie Hollingsworth is a criminal. All Officer's need to lay down and not do any type of proactive law enforcement until something is done with Jackie Hollingsworth, not just one division or two, it need's to be all division's and WE all need to be on the same level. WAKE UP, still answer your call's for service that's what we are here for, but anything proactive STOP IT. He can hurt us on the take home car's by charging us, and we take it, he can hurt us on the investigation on going to court, he can hurt us on minor investigations of complaints and handing out stiff punishmennts for minor violations of policy, WAKE UP people, WE HOLD THE CARDS not Chief White, If other Officer's agree reply back, i like input, But for me that's how i feel, Jackie Hollingsworth has gave us a black eye, and the Chief has done nothing about it, so let's give the Chief a black eye and SIT DOWN, trust me he will be a better Chief of Police and respect us more when he's not getting ATTA BOY's and showing the citizens of this community crime is up with his comp stat. I get that many, if not all, here are outraged at the damage that the actions of that one can do to the morale, and image, of the many. From the earliest of my postings here, when I would state a complaint about an officer, or officer(s), I was told to file a complaint or shut up.

Now that I see this, an officer that fellow officers cannot get any proper action taken against, in spite of seemingly being caught with a smoking gun on multiple occasions, doesnt exactly reflect well on the chances an ordinary citizen has to file a complaint against an officer, especially when there isnt a smoking gun to show the PIU.

Man I got days not to long ago over something pretty trivial...then again i'm white and told the truth. Maybe Jackie and Will Laflure can go into business together and be financial consultants, they both are Criminal Masterminds. To bad i wasnt at the Newburg Bar when Laflure told the officer's who responded to a call on him for being drunk and disorderly that HE WOULD TAKE DAYS FOR FIGHTING THEM, well the last i checked it was a crime to resist arrest!!!!!!!!! It has been exactly one week since I woke up and saw the article on whas11.com. I still have not seen anything on any of the other channels or in the newspaper. SHAME ON THEM!

What is even more regrettable is I have not seen or heard anything from Chief White or Abramson on a scandal on the Police Department that appears to have been left alone for way too long. Make up some kind of excuse...The State lab is working on some DNA and lost the first sample or something. Just for one minute don't think we are just going to roll over and let this thing die.

Hiring....Jackie was part of the "Coleman class". She with the help of Louis Coleman sued to get hired.

Police Academy...Jackie got into a fight with fellow recruit Dana Kelly after Jackie told Dana that she hated white people and for Dana to stop talking to her. Dana Kelly was Jackie's assigned roommate. The department's response was to move Dana to another room.

Jackie failed more tests and skills than allowed by academy standards. She was allowed to retest and retest until she passed.

First year....Jackie was observed by 4th Division FLEX officers and active beat officers walking around Southwick and Cotter homes with her police radio. She was actively tipping off drug dealers about the officers plans. Officer Jack Jawor pulls over a car ...registered to Jackie...and arrested the occupants for drug charges.

Other career highlights....Jackie tried to complain on County officers when they arrested her son for drug trafficing. Jackie told the IA investiators that her son was set up by the white police officers and they een used the "N" word towards her son. IA investigtors then revelaed that the arrest was on tape...and that is she was lying..they would prosecute her....she got up and walked out and refused to continue with her lie.

She was later charged with contempt of court in Juvy court by the judge for her behavior in court regarding her son.

Jackie went into court and pretended to be Lynn Hunt in an effort to get charges dismissed against some of her friends. The prosecutor knew Lynn Hunt and quickly challenged her.

Jackie pullled officer Larry Cushman off of a young man that was fighting officer Cushman. The subject got away. That same subject fire bombed now...Lt. Rich Pearson's marked police car.

Death threats were then called in to LPD radio room on Lt. Pearson and her partner at the time Officer Kim Burns. Those threats included those officers personal addresses. That information was unlisted and was given to the bad guys by Jackie Hollingsworth. Pearson and Burns were Housing officers in Shepherd Square. They were actively seeking out the major drug dealers in the area. Those same dealers that were moved from the now closed Cotter and Southwick. The department's response was to move her from the street....in their words...to diminish her ability to directly affect operations. Theymade her a DARE officer...teaching kids about drugs!...How's that for irony?

Jackie was observed by 2nd division officers riding around Beecher Terrace and Clarksdale projects....tipping off drug dealers there.

Jackie has also been tied to chop operations involving motorcycles. A ecent arrest involving some bad guys from Detriot uncovered a drug courier that brought drugs to Louisville, then took stolen items back home. Those subjects indicated that Hollingsworth was involved in the same crimes. They stole items from herbecause she had stolen from them. They shared a common storage facitilty. All of this was reported....nothing happened.

Jackie frequently works off-duty for a black motorcycle club. When officers get called because of drug complaints from these gatherings...Jackie runs interference and tries to keep the responding officers out.

This is just a small list....all new officers are told that she is a bad cop and to stay away from her!

Why is it acceptable for the Chiefs Office to condone stealing from your co-workers, but it is frowned on to look at porn with your co-workers?

Ive seen the rah rah rallies in the past. Some officers say they are all in and then fold when it gets hot. Some officers don't bother and hop on the Admin side to advance their career. Other officers hang tough and in the end get burnt. The ONLY way to win is by giving the media, attorneys office and Chief's office anonymous calls. Put the heat on the city through these avenues without putting your rear end in the fire. Loose lips sink ships, mutiny brings down the ship with the sailors.

If you are a citizen of this community you should be outraged that this officer is still allowed to collect a paycheck. Usually when some one in the department is under investigation that are stuck down in the property room to do B**** work. But not hollingsworthless, she is still riding a beat. Please ,please, please contact your metro council rep, the mayor and Chief Bob and let them know this wrong needs to be made right. As a citizen of Louisville it makes me sick to know my tax dollars are paying this scum.

Here we are comming up on two weeks now since WHAS broke this story and still not a single comment form the Chief's office or the Mayor's Office. Bob...you have had 5 freakin' years to figure this out. She has continued to commit crimes and behave unprofessionally because of your lack of action.

There is quite a bit of case law that specifically addresses the penalties for not performing your duties. Thhe funny thing is this directly applies more to Chief White and Dave Stengel than it does to Hollingsworth.

Jackie Hollingsworth is definitely guilty of crimes, but failing to do anything about it is also a criminal offense.

Funny, she hasn't been in the division 30 days and yet she starts on daywork and now slides into a cake position. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................

Jackie Hollingsworth has betrayed her community, her department and the BPOA - to have wrecked an organization(the BPOA) that had a rich tradition and fought for fairness and equality for African American Officers - reveals a depth of infamy never previously reached, I compare her with the thugs on the street as they are her faithful friends and this Judas Iscariot is entitled to a crown of glory?

We don't want to be unduly intimidated by this thug in uniform, the extremists attitude that she presents will always be a true indication ofwho she is. She has flaunted her perceived invicibility because even though these incidents have been reported and investigated nothing has been done about it. She will continue to so anything she pleases because she has never been held accountable.

Those who are presumably behind this through their unwillingness to do anything are the Chief and the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. We have to balance that with the security of the people and the students at Highland Middle School and decide waht is best for our community.

Should we ignore this and forget about it or continue to persevere and demand accountability from both of these agencies? The majority of the Officers are outraged by this. In case anyone hasn't figured it out by now Hollingsworth has been posting on here as LMPD Best Cop. What a joke! I guess she probably can't even listen to her attorney to not talk about anything relating to this case.

Do you notice that all she can say is that everyone is biased and that her criminal kids have nothing to do with this and if she were guily she would have been charged with something.

Again, what a joke. At no time has she appologized for what she did, for the shame she brought on our department or offered to make restitution. You notice she never denied any of the charges either.

In regards to this article which I noticed was taken from the WHAS article, it really makes me scratch my head. As someone with no police experience or no knowledge of laws other than I obey them, I can't believe nothing has been done about this situation. I plan on e-mailing the Chief and asking him why this obvious case of a criminal act hasn' been handled. You would think he would want to flaunt the fact that he is tough on crime and especially toough on crimes when they are committed by one of his officers. I think everyone should do the same. Young Hollingsworth was with several other outstanding youths and were probably going to committ a robbery or theft because the ofcs found ski masks near where the subjects were. Young Hollingsworth also has several other arrests for theft related charges, a DV charge, and a robbery where he and 3 others beat up a young girl and took her property...and he is not yet 18. I am an African American Police Officer. I chose not to join the BPOA and I was not alone, because I felt it was an organization that caused division not one that brought people together. I was very surprised that when the BPOA came to speak to our class back in 2002 that they were even allowed to exist. I remember the FOP, Supporting Heroes and the Ladies from the FOP auxiliary lodge that came in to talk with us. I remember how every group that came in talked about helping other officers and their families and nobody talked about race except the BPOA. Although to be honest I couldn?t understand half of what Officer Canteen was saying and didn't really care.

I see you playing the race card here and though some of the people that posted eluded to the reverse, that you are being protected because you are a black female, I just see a chief that has failed to fire a criminal. Jackie has been a known criminal for her entire career. Here is the breakdown of just the things I know about....there's no telling about all of things I don't!

Hiring....Jackie was part of the "Coleman class". She with the help of Louis Coleman sued to get hired.

Police Academy...Jackie got into a fight with fellow recruit Dana Kelly after Jackie told Dana that she hated white people and for Dana to stop talking to her. Dana Kelly was Jackie's assigned roommate. The department's response was to move Dana to another room.

Jackie failed more tests and skills than allowed by academy standards. She was allowed to retest and retest until she passed.

First year....Jackie was observed by 4th Division FLEX officers and active beat officers walking around Southwick and Cotter homes with her police radio. She was actively tipping off drug dealers about the officers plans. Officer Jack Jawor pulls over a car ...registered to Jackie...and arrested the occupants for drug charges.

Other career highlights....Jackie tried to complain on County officers when they arrested her son for drug trafficing. Jackie told the IA investiators that her son was set up by the white police officers and they een used the "N" word towards her son. IA investigtors then revelaed that the arrest was on tape...and that is she was lying..they would prosecute her....she got up and walked out and refused to continue with her lie.

She was later charged with contempt of court in Juvy court by the judge for her behavior in court regarding her son.

Jackie went into court and pretended to be Lynn Hunt in an effort to get charges dismissed against some of her friends. The prosecutor knew Lynn Hunt and quickly challenged her.

Jackie pullled officer Larry Cushman off of a young man that was fighting officer Cushman. The subject got away. That same subject fire bombed now...Lt. Rich Pearson's marked police car.

Death threats were then called in to LPD radio room on Lt. Pearson and her partner at the time Officer Kim Burns. Those threats included those officers personal addresses. That information was unlisted and was given to the bad guys by Jackie Hollingsworth. Pearson and Burns were Housing officers in Shepherd Square. They were actively seeking out the major drug dealers in the area. Those same dealers that were moved from the now closed Cotter and Southwick. The department's response was to move her from the street....in their words...to diminish her ability to directly affect operations. Theymade her a DARE officer...teaching kids about drugs!...How's that for irony?

Jackie was observed by 2nd division officers riding around Beecher Terrace and Clarksdale projects....tipping off drug dealers there.

Jackie has been a known criminal for her entire career. Here is the breakdown of just the things I know about....there's no telling about all of things I don't!

Hiring....Jackie was part of the "Coleman class". She with the help of Louis Coleman sued to get hired.

Police Academy...Jackie got into a fight with fellow recruit Dana Kelly after Jackie told Dana that she hated white people and for Dana to stop talking to her. Dana Kelly was Jackie's assigned roommate. The department's response was to move Dana to another room.

Jackie failed more tests and skills than allowed by academy standards. She was allowed to retest and retest until she passed.

First year....Jackie was observed by 4th Division FLEX officers and active beat officers walking around Southwick and Cotter homes with her police radio. She was actively tipping off drug dealers about the officers plans. Officer Jack Jawor pulls over a car ...registered to Jackie...and arrested the occupants for drug charges.

Other career highlights....Jackie tried to complain on County officers when they arrested her son for drug trafficing. Jackie told the IA investiators that her son was set up by the white police officers and they een used the "N" word towards her son. IA investigtors then revelaed that the arrest was on tape...and that is she was lying..they would prosecute her....she got up and walked out and refused to continue with her lie.

She was later charged with contempt of court in Juvy court by the judge for her behavior in court regarding her son.

Jackie went into court and pretended to be Lynn Hunt in an effort to get charges dismissed against some of her friends. The prosecutor knew Lynn Hunt and quickly challenged her.

Jackie pullled officer Larry Cushman off of a young man that was fighting officer Cushman. The subject got away. That same subject fire bombed now...Lt. Rich Pearson's marked police car.

Death threats were then called in to LPD radio room on Lt. Pearson and her partner at the time Officer Kim Burns. Those threats included those officers personal addresses. That information was unlisted and was given to the bad guys by Jackie Hollingsworth. Pearson and Burns were Housing officers in Shepherd Square. They were actively seeking out the major drug dealers in the area. Those same dealers that were moved from the now closed Cotter and Southwick. The department's response was to move her from the street....in their words...to diminish her ability to directly affect operations. Theymade her a DARE officer...teaching kids about drugs!...How's that for irony?

One of the most amazing things about this thread (not series of e-mails Jackie) is that for the nonce we have even let up on Jerry Abramson because believe it or not we have something more important to deal with. We have a thief with a badge and she has thus far not been punished in any way for her actions.

It has become the LPMD advertising campaign for ineptness in leadership. We are observing an administration that can jump on any bandwagon they choose, beat their drums for awhile and then move rapidly on to the next.

We have seen Officers investigated and disciplined on a litany of charges and even the most difficult did not take a 10th of the time of this case.

I would like to express my thanks to the people that run this website. I have been a faithful follower for several years now. Thanks for bringing the people of the community the facts that we obviously aren't hearing on the news. I noticed that even though you usually replace stories on a regular basis and keep everything fresh that you left this one up because it is very important.

I too am anxiously awaiting to see if this crook with a badge gets what is coming to her.

I am sure many of you have already done this but if you google JTHUNDA you can see her in action with all of her buddies. Run some of the names for warrants and you might be able to clear up some crimes!

I have only heard the topic of everyone's conversation remain on the same subject everywhere I go about a handful of issues. The car situation was one of them. Derby Details sucking is one that comes up every spring and jerry Abramson being a crook. Until now. Everyone talks about this. It is amazing! Something that the chief's office thought was a non issue appears to be the biggest issue with Officers everywhere.

There is not a Cop on LMPD that doesn't think that Hollingsworth deserves to be fired. Everyone thinks she needs to be indictedm fired and go to prison. This case has set a barometer for the department that while the chief's office may condone this type of behavior the men and women of LMPD do not!

As soon as someone knows when she and cantten actually go and give their statements we need to start a count down clock until she is fired.

Keep posting on here. Has anyone contacted the Commonwealth's Attorney and asked them why she s getting a free pass on this?

I actually heard an interesting rumor today. One that I had not heard before and maybe one of our intrepid investigatory journalists could ask some questions about this.

I heard, and mind you this is only a rumor at this stage, not like the other facts posted on here, that Hollingsworth has been given days in the past over several incidents by the Chief's Office and it was squelched by Deputy Mayor Bill Summers. Interesting WOT?

Here is another tidbit of information for everyone. SHe has been in the 5th for almost 2 months now and is still riding with another officer because she can't seem to grasp simple things like elements of the crime and what she should be taking a report for.

Apparently this is being condoned from higher up to let her ride with someone until she feels comfortable on her own.

Every time I get on here I see even more stuff about this POS. When is something going to be done about it.

If the CO's of the Officer Canteen (is this the correct spelling?) haven't verified the Doc's note, then they shouldbe going to PSU next (It is their responsibility after all). If Jackie's "Jthunda - LMPD Best Cop" Hollingsworth current CO's aren't keeping a log of her sick time usage and pattern of activities, then they need to bite the bullet themselves and start.

It doesn't take much, all you have to do is SHOW the pattern and REQUIRE a doctors note, and then PSU / PIU can lawfully interview the Doctor to ensure that FMLA standards are met... And when the FMLA time is up, they CAN BE CANNED...

Why did this take so long to investigate? I heard it went through 5 investigators before it was ever given to a prosecutor. Maybe because it is a week case.

I am tired of this Department and this City dancing around the race issue. Nobody wants to say anything publicly about Hollingsworth because she is black. Why? David Robinson was fond of saying this is"BLACK on BLACK" crime and blacks don't want to provide testimony as a rule because other blacks like Mattie Jones will call them Uncle Toms and tell them they have a "plantation mentality".

Damn it people race has nothing to do with this. She committed a felony crime and needs to be fired and prosecuted, plain and simple. There is nothing racist about prosecuting her because she happens to also be black. Her skin color has nothing to do with the fact she is a criminal!

I am a black man that served in the military for 28 years. I retired as a Command Master Sergeant from the United States Army. I am tired of seeing everyone tip toe around the race issue every time it is improperly used. If a case of true discrimination takes place then all this "crying wolf" means people won't take the small amount of real cases seriously.

She is a criminal and it should be treated as nothing more than a criminal case. If she had tried that kind of crap in my Army she would have been court marshaled and prosecuted quickly, court marshaled and probably sent to the stockade before being dishonorably discharged.

Here we are almost 5 weeks after WHAS11 did their story. Shockingly enough the department has finally taken some action in the form of giving Jackie Hollingsworth and Mike Canteen both their 48 hours notice about a pending PSU(Professional Standards Unit or Internal Affairs for people not affiliated with Law Enforcement)

PIU (the Professional Integrity Unit) which deals with Officer Involved shootings and criminal cases against Officers completed their case a long time ago. Their case file is the crux of the WHAS article. Their case file is composed of 500 pages of evidence documenting criminal wrongdoing on her part. The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office is being negligent in that respect by refusing to prosecute.

Now getting back to the PSU investigation, it will deal with violations of policy and wrongdoing etc... Matters such as untruthfulness, conduct unbecoming and officer, official misconduct etc... You see where I am going with this hopefully. Even though there seems to be no ground being gained on the criminal investigation until Dave Stengel puts his boot up someone's a$$ and orders them to do their jobs, there is light at the end of the rainbow because almost everything she is in violation of she can be terminated over.

She can be terminated for lying. She has to answer questions under the Garity rule. (Garity v New Jersey) She does not enjoy her 5th amendment right against self incrimination. If she refuses to answer their questions she can be fired for insubordination. Anything she says cannot be used in a criminal trial, however since the criminal case is already so profound she is in shark infested waters when she walks in the door.

Basically and fortunately for us as soon as she opens her mouth she will either lie (for which she can be fired) or make a statement of what transpired (for which she can be fired)

Once the case is transcribed then it will go to the Chief's Office with review by his legal advisor Dennis Sims for the disciplinary phase of this case. Heretofore nothing has been done regarding this case. Whether from deliberate malfeasance, alleged protection from a very high placed politician or outright buffoonery and bungling this case will be resolved in the foreseeable future.

Pressure has been put on some people in high places to resolve this travesty by people from all over the community from parents of middle school students, the Principal at Highland Middle School, police officers and civilians, moms and dads etc... Because the preponderance of evidence is such that there is an unprosecuted (as of yet) criminal carrying a badge and gun currently working for LMPD.

It is blatantly obvious that while other officers underwent criminal investigation their police powers were suspended until the Chief's Office made a ruling in the case and that also has to been done with this person.

I am confident that she will be fired. This is due largely to the many people that have taken issue with this case and not only kept the story alive but made calls and talked to other people to let them know what is going on. Despite our wishes that things would go as they should we have firsthand experience in this case that favoritism, protection by unknown patrons for whatever reason and straight up ineptitude has caused this case to languish for 5 years?

I have been following this story since I accidentally found it on WHAS's website. Funny when I looked at the other news sites, there wasn't anything at all.

I can remember when she said she was Lynn Hunt. I was there when it happened. I can remember going through G'Town (in the old 3rd District) and seeing her car parked there and her satnding outside of it like she was warning people (with her radio or something). I can remember talking with Cushman when she knocked him off of a person he was trying to arrest.

She is a thug pl;ain and simple. She need to do time. Not just a few months and then get out on shock probation. She had not mentioned any remorse at all. She has not apologized to any officers personally for her conduct. Instead she flaunts it (still being on LMPD) like she is proud of what she did.

If she ADMITTED a crime then why isn't she arrested. If it was any civilian out there, they would have already been arrested, tried and found guilty. Pitiful that our chief is putting up with this.

Finally has anyone found out about her visit to IA? Be interested in what was said and if anything came about it...

I don't think it has been mentioned before so I will ask the question: mark baker said he won't prosecute unless every officer in the BPOA signs statements blah..blah...blah, but has even one member of the BPOA come forward to state they were a victim? Is that the reason the Comm. Atty's office isn't prosecuting? What is this big deal about one black testifying against another? I don't get it. HA! I hear that her teenage son, 13 or 14 years old, got locked up for shoplifting at Wal Mart, and then got locked up for Felony TBUT all within a week!!!

I can only hope that someone in authority on the department can see through her obvious facade regarding this conveniently timed illness. She knows they won't call her in while on sick leave. If like a previous poster stated, "If she truly has blood clots then let's see what meds she is being prescribed!" I have know many people that have had blood clots and they all take one of only a couple different kinds of medications.

Have her examined by Doc Smock. I don't trust her as far as I would like to be able to throw her.
