Do you have a single clue as to what happened in this wreck? He ALMOST rear ended someone because he was driving too fast, running late to work, and had to swerve into the breakdown lane, where he KILLED someone. He may have had the radio on, but he wasn't responding to something. That's the point.
Point in fact, if LMPD officers don't want to respond, they have a choice, DON'T DRIVE THE POLICE CAR. No one is making you do so, after all. I'm glad most choose to do so, but since no LMPD officer has gone to Labor and complained about not getting paid for work time, it tells me that LMPD officers themselves don't consider themselves to be working during that time. Can't have it both ways. If you are working, they must pay you.
