Is it me, or has there been ALOT MORE LMPD wrecks since merger happened? I never seen as many cars smashed up before the stupid merger.

Just because an officer was found responsible for an accident doesnt mean there is no buddy system. If any of you cops will be honest, (some of you have privately) you all know other cops that have gotten away with actsbecause of the buddy system. I take it to mean one of two things, either it was a fair investigation, OR there wasnt a way to excuse it. I dont know which, but the reaction to this accident was particularly curious because of the number of people responding and the range of roads that were shut down that were in no way related to the accident. It was undeniably overkill in relation to any other fatality accident that I have witnessed, and I have witnessed more than a few in my years.
8-10 hours a day, 5 days per week, and netting an average of 15360 miles per year according to policefleet.com. truckers average 100,000 miles per year, and many have million(s) of miles without an accident. They are also driving much bigger vehicles, so how many accidents are acceptable in their case? the answer is far LESS, and they hold to it.
The accident itself isnt nearly as relative as the cause of the accident, and in this case, it is the admitted driving habits that many of you want to excuse as a "perk".

Going the wrong way on a one way street, kind of hard to justify that one. Using the lane divider as your personal road, again hard to justify. Name some more that aren't so obviously apparent and the cop was found at fault.
