That was exceptionally well written. It speaks volumes about the court system and the outlandish media hating cops and sensationalizing anything that happens when they screw up.

Here are a couple of statistics humorI have run across over the years put into laymans terms:

One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch.

99% of all lawyers give the others a bad name.

"How can I ever thank you?" gushed a woman to Clarence Darrow, after he had solved her legal troubles.

"My dear woman," Darrow replied, "ever since the Phoenicians invented money there has been only one answer to that question."

Diogenes went to look for an honest lawyer. "How's it going?", someone asked. "Not too bad", said Diogenes. "I still have my lantern."

Youre victims of your own hype. The reason that a metro parks employee isnt as big of a news story is because a parks employee doesnt go around falsely inflating the threat to life on his job, and presenting himself and his felloe employees as heroes. It is no surprise that a fallen "hero" is a bigger sensationalist story than a fallen parks worker. Y9ou donbt get to complain about the microscope when you put yourselves under it.

As to the argument abotu the CEO getting caught with weed, thats debateable, because he isnt a public servant who is out working with tax dollars. Should it be an issue, im not going to argue that one either way, just play devils advocate for a second. I would think he showed poor taste because as of now, it is still illegal, but I dont see getting caught with weed as being something that has a history of loss of life like DUI does. I still wouldnt condone driving high, but am not familiar with its effects to know if it is as much of an impairment as alcohol.

Talk about special treatment, I know that a cop who wrecked his car was picked up and protected after crashing his personal vehicle due to being drunk, but to protect the friend of mine that was involved I wont go into any more detail than that.

Not once have I ever claimed to know everything about being a sworn officer, and it makes you look rather insincere and immature to try to paint me with that brush. In fact, I have said many times that I only know what I see, and what I am told, and have said several times that I admit to being open to correction. You just cant be adult enough to take that route, you want to be snide about it.
