EMS worker stabbed in Middletown

The number of "beggars" is increasing at an alarming rate. There is not one place in this city where the likelyhood of being approached is non-existent. At some locations I believe they work shifts. The last time I was downtown, no sooner had I gotten out of my car and here comes a bum wanting a handout. I usually dismiss their request and continue on. No more. They'll continue to have my attention until they move on or I'm a safe distance away. I don't feel sorry for any of them because most brought their situation on themselves.
