I guess it would be akin to the question of "who is the grown up here" It appears neither side when it comes to the posts involving you.

But my original point is> why do you try to argue with people the are not arguing back?

I am a taxpayer and a citizen. Their very mission and values statement, a "contract" with the public, states clearly that they will be accountable to me.

I understand clearly that they are not involved, I get all too well that they are opting out because they have no defense for the accusations that I make, and therefore it isnt a folly on my part, but showing exactly what is happening.

Again, they are demanding accountability from the mayors office while refusing to be accountable for themselves. They are still perpetrating a lie when they say that they lay their life on the line every day, that is nothing more than an urban legend, used to excuse less than professional behavior on some levels.

Again, Im not saying that cops are all part of robbery, theft or drug rings, BUT as police officers they should be held to a HIGHER standard, and the truth is that they lower the standard for themselves, while placing a higher value to themselves than they do to society.

They are simply not the reason that society is not complete anarchy, society ITSELF is responsible for that. If ALL of society were to decide to rebel at once, there is no way in hell that law enforcement could contain them. If EVERYONE decided they were immune to traffic laws, if everyone decided that they deserved privilege over the rest of society then anarchy would ensue and law enforceement would be powerless to stop them.

The reason law enforcement works, and the reason is should work in miniscule numbers, is that by and large, most people have respect for the law. Sure, there are people who do not break the law because they are afraid of getting caught, BUT by far the greater number do not break the law becausse they have respect for other peopel and for the law.

Its morality, and not intimidation that is what guides civilization, so for cops to refuse to be accountable in itself is inherently wrong and nothing less than pure tyranny. Why do you think accountability was important enough to be a part of their contract? It is because history is littered with the abuse of power, and examples aboung of people in power abusing that power.

There are even famous quotes relating to the subject, ones that I have referenced before. "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" "Dissent is the sincerest form of Patriotism"

You talk of behavior, and admittedly I have let my guard down, and been overly aggressive at times in relation to the response I have been given, but the ratio of legitimate attempts at conversation have been very few, and it is unacceptable that they think so highly of themselves, that they are not accountable to the public. I bring completely valuable and critical observations to the table, they are legitimate in every way, and yet tyrannical thinking brings me insults in return. Some people here have even responded without knowing what they are responding to.

I am called coward by people for refusing to give my legal name, when this forum is set up for anonymity because cops supposedly fear the retaliation from their superiors, all the while threatening me with retaliation.

You may not see it, and it is fully possible that I am not making the intended point well enough in my pursuit, but I can guarantee the pleasure derived from debate takes a backseat to the intended purpose of rectifying a wrong, and I would much rather see a muturity level that accepts the criticism and changes it, as opposed to a selfish argument where they refuse to either acknowledge a behavior, or dismiss a complaint.

Here you have an attempt at straightforward conversation, nothing intended to be insulting, especially not towards you for having your opinion, I just disagree with your assessment. I hope that you can see it as such.
