The citizens of this community should be VERY scared. The administration that runs this catastrophe is out of control, starting with the Mayor. They have no grip on reality. I'm scared of this community because nothing ever gets done except ******** politics. Taking resources away from the your closest line to defense is insane.

OK funny guy. Show me your substance to back up your statement about " there are many other cities that don't have take home cars, and I don't dont recall any of them being anywhere near the "streets of mexico." Show me a comparison of city this size that does not have take home cars or did and "budget cuts" took them away. Then prove to me there is not an increase in crime comparatively. That ought to keep you busy. Don't miss your next drop off. Keep on truckin'!!!!

How about these facts. Metro touts itself as the 16th largest city yet the 22nd largest Police force ( Mayors numbers from pre and post merger study). Already 6 slots down. Add about 100 officers short from full force, more slots down. Incresed the number of commanding officers from 1 sargent per platoon to as many as 3 in some districts ( less Indians more Chiefs) means more slots down. Study released last year comparing Metro to the citiesthe Mayor likes to contrast with showed Metro as one of the lowest Officer to citizen ratios but one of the highest runs to Officer ratios of the cities studied( less time to be proactive). Amount of time wasted in court means officers are tired or not on the street, more slots down. Policepay.net figures for a Cincinnati officer 1 through 5 years annual salary is 41 to 46 thousand.I am a ten year vet of the department and my salary last year from metro on my W-2 was 46 thousand. Policepay.net for Cleveland and Nashville and Indianapolis are similar. They all have a higher crime rate with a bigger Officer to citizen ratio larger department manpower wise and more pay per officer than metro. But what they don't have is take home cars. So while you may be correct in the streets of mexico comparison when comparing to the streets of America you fall short and fail to give credit to the people who are where the rubber meets the road.
