They do not claim to have a monopoly on it either. In the heroes of Ronwood article the officer writing clearly gives credit to the citzen that assisted in that situation as being a hero also. Why can't you just let it go? This website is by for police officers. I'm sure each of them know people they would consider to be everyday heroes as well, but this site isn't for or about them; this is about, for, and by police officers. I'm sure if you were on a military site it would be the same thing. It would seem that a bulk of the posts would be regarding military heroes and no one else. They would not be saying that no one else can be a hero they are just honoring those in their own profession as the men and women on this site do for their own.

The word hero is JUST a title bestowed by whomever chooses to give it. It doesn't always make it fact. Heroism is a perception held by individuals. You shouldn't criticize the entire department by making blanket statements that all cops think they "have a monopoly on" heroism. It's just not true.

do you know the definition of possibility? statistics don't show possibilties which clearly defeats your argument...and while we are on the subject of definitions look up argument as well...you are not taken seriously here which means no argument
