How much, exactly, are you willing to pay for the car? Not just the "fee" - but everything that goes with that car, the time you are EXPECTED TO SPEND UNCOMPENSATED off-duty because you have the car? And the first time you don't stop, and draw a complaint for that, then what? So, when can the FOP expect your resignation? Obviously you want to make choices individually, so do so, don't be a member of an organization that is supposed to be looking out for the collective interest of its members.
