Jefferson to end routine subpoenas of police officers |
RE: Jefferson to end routine subpoenas of police officers
I agree with you, but I think what has happened over the years is that court did become about the money because the contract never had good raises on them, so in turn the FOP got the court pay raised over the years to offset the no raises. In their effort to get more that was one of the only places they could get more. Over time it has been in the back of officers minds that IF they wanted to earn more they could get it thru court pay when they wanted it. I dont know how but just have a feeling that this might not be good for the officers in the long run. Another potiential profit jerry is taking away from the police.

YOU OF ALL PEOPLE (VETERAN OFFICER) SHOULD KNOW THAT JEFFERSON DISTRICT COURT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BUISNESS.THE DIST. COURT JUDGES GET PAID OVER $100,000 A YEAR, THE LAWYERS MAKE $100 A TRAFFIC CASE, THE LATE WATCH OFFICER WITH LACK OF SLEEP MAKES $50. DO YOU THINK THERE REALLY IS JUSTICE?
