Abramson Follows Beshear Lead, Hiring Double Dippers

Driskell should get a pay raise, $95,000 is nothing. If every metro employee could just take 1 more furlough day and the police could pay just $25.00 more a month for their cars, we could pay her more. She did such a good job the first time, she should be making at least 200 grand a year. Please you big headed F***ker give her more money!!!!!!!

The fact is that Jerry will ALWAYS say one thing and do another and cover it up or just lie about it. Those are the facts. Jerry lives in his own spoiled reality and nothing can bring him BACK to ours. Jerry will probably hire a 9th or 10th deputy mayor or some other just as rediculous crap next week. to the kool-aid drinkers and the next ***** (i mean chief) Troy Boy: i hope it tasted good - don't forget to swallow.

How do you furlough people, rip off firemen, make police pay to do their jobs (cars), say we have a deficit but turn around and higher someone to fill a job that doesn't exist until jerry decides it does and pay that person $95,000 + a year from a budget that is supposed to be in a deficit. Oh I forgot jerrynomics, i.e. "we are broke unless there is something I want to spend tax payer dollars on like it was my own". I can't believe the people of this city keep putting this crooked, lying, lowdown, mismanaging, egotistical, money waisting turd back in office!!

I WAS GOING TO SUGGEST THAT THESE BECOMES OFF DUTY GIGS BUT NOW THAT OUR CITY'S MONEY CRISIS IS OVER I'LL JUST GO AHEAD AND WORK IT. Why are none of us suprised by this? Could it be that back in December we pointed out that she was "volunteering" her time after suddenly resigning without any notice. The Abramson Cronysm administration formula that calls for the peons to take furloughs or as they have been now dubbed "Jerry Days" and for the police to pay for their vehicles so he can create new positions for people like Driskell and A.J. Summers at the expense of the community is so damn ridiculous.

How in the hell has this been allowed to happen when there was a budget crisis? Didn't he put out a hiring freeze except for essential public safety personnel? Aren't supplies cut off unlit July?

Did you know that we get 1 roll of toilet paper per stall to last an entire week at our division?

Just because Jane Driskell was running city finance when we mysteriously came up TWENTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS in the hole is no reason to think that she is in any way incompentent, or helping king jerry finance his own very special pension fund. There is absoutly NO reason to think that after one suprise TWENTY FIVE MILLION DOLLAR budget shortfall The OUTSTANDING fiscal team of Driskell and Abramson will provide the fine citizens of Metro Louisville with anything less than world class service, employing the FINEST examples of creative book keeping that can be enjoyed by citizens anywhere.

Personally, I think if I had someone working for me in my finance department that told me I was TWENTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS in the hole, and that there had been ABSOUTLY NO WARNING before it got to TWENTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS, I would throw her a nice party when she retired, but I would NOT rehire her. On the subject of the king going against his hiring freeze and taking back the worthless B1Tch driskell, rumor is he has also hired a couple more body guards to protect him. Now we know he already had 2 prior "officers" I am wondering who the new toys are? How much are they making and how did he get the approval to hire them? Why does he need them? Is he really that scared of the workers who do the goverments bidding? Those he forced to take fulowe days and those he does not want to honor contracts with that he agreed to?

Maybe he knows something only him, the shadow of a chief we have and his next toy know.

Abramson Defends Driskell Rehiring

Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson says hiring retired staff members does not cost the city extra money.

Former Chief Financial Officer Jane Driskell recently returned to a new position after retiring in November. Her new salary is 15 thousand dollars lower, but she is also earning retirement from her old job.

Abramson says his staff did not think Driskell would be needed again when she left.

?No we really didn?t,? says Abramson. ?Nor did we realize the major role she?ll be playing in overseeing the stimulus package funds that need to be committed quickly over the next three of four months.?

Driskell cannot earn additional retirement benefits. Abramson says her current retirement fund includes money she already paid into the system.

Now Johnstone is back as our "stimulus czar" - how much does that job pay?

If all the COPS would just worry about going to court and keeping criminals off the street Louisville would be a much safer city. I have a novel idea....JUST DO YOUR JOB POLICE OFFICERS and stop blaming the MAYOR FOR YOUR MISTAKES!
