I have been a police officer for ten years and have enjoyed most days on the job. I have worked predominately in the west end where I feel I have made the greatest difference. I have gone into burning buildings, shut down crack houses, read to the school kids and befriended the drunks and prostitutes when no one else, including their own family would have them. I have been thanked numerous times by the elderly that are too afraid to walk on their porch in Park Hill because they are scared of the
