I'm not going to dispute that you see a marked LMPD vehicle in Spencer county. I know for a fact that there are at least two officers with take homes that live in a very secluded corner of Jefferson county and the only roads that allow them access to thier homes go through Bullitt and Spencer. So you might wanna skip the "I got-cha" bull sh!t. As a matter-o-fact, I too wish the mayor would just exhibit some leadership and pull the plug on the program. But I'm guessing that he won't for purely political reasons. He wants to end it but dosn't want to be responsible when residents in areas of the county never see another police car and if he can make a few bucks in the process, even better. Do me a favor, when you get back to work, take another poll from your co-workers. See what they think about deez...................................DEEZ NUTZ!

we have voted twice not to pay the "fees" the mayor is wanting to hit us with. Both times he has been told that if he wants the cars to take them. Neither him nor his pupet of a chief have the BA!!S to do that because it will look bad when there are no cars on the street. Let him take them and then lets see how fast response time is when everyone is tied up and there are no off duty cars to assist.

I hope they do take them away from us...then I don't have to worry about you jumping out in front of me in traffic when i'm offduty because you just wrecked your car, or because you have a flat tire, and maybe i'll get to finish a meal in restaraunt without someone coming up and telling me there's a couple arguing in the parking lot. If they take them away our job will be 100x easier...but you just remember that everyday you get dressed for work you don't put on kevlar to do your job. Now run back to the herd little sheep and quit bothering the sheep dogs.

It doesnt and that officer is breaking policy. He does not represent the whole. If all the out of county officers were doing that, you wouldnt see all the police cars at the churches. So, how does paying $100 per month for these out of county officers who follow the rules benefit them. It doesnt. Bottom line, who cares what you or your co workers think?

Hey tell your nephew to read the "stickers" on the car, it says JEFFERSONTOWN , there are several of thier officers that live out here and one on Nature Trial. I live only 2 miles down from that subdivision and I see them drive by every day also.

The difference with them is they are allowed to drive thiers, they pay extra to do it compared to thier fellow officers, by the way I would be more than willing to do, ie: like pay the 160.00 and not work off duty, possibly a little more of I worked off duty.
