other than property tax, everbody pays th same taxes on payroll doesn't matter where you live,,,in or out of the county,,,,,,,so no thats not correct that county residents pay more,,,,,,a person that lives in say bullitt county pays the same taxes that a person that lives in an apartment in louisville

It is good that you have an opinion but it is yours and not mine. If the cars are part of a contract and a dollar amount put on them why should you have that benifit and not others who are part of this department. I lived in the county and got smart and moved out before everything went bad. With this said, I will fight for the same benifits (written in the contract) that you or anyone else has. Why should you have a benifit that is worth (lets say) $8000 and not those of us who work just as hard but live outside of the metro limits. When I lived in this county I paid alot of taxes and even though I live outside the county I still pay for the privledge of working within jerry's kingdom. Please don't put yourself higher than the rest of us.

How about this.......if they become part of the contract we will not get much of a raise because he will say he is giving us a raise with the take home cars. Why should my raise (as I live out of county but pay taxes here in louisville) go to pay for your car? You would basically be making more than me because you live in the county.
