The feds are paying for everything...travel, per diem, lodging, and they are reimbursing the city for the officers' pay since they are on SD days.

Is there a list of all who are going to the inauguration?Who pays for them to go ???

Look at the CJ from 1-15-09, the photo and the rank of the officers in it who are going to this event. At the very least we will not have many majors here to do anything.

There are atleast 1 lt col and his staff of one lt and one officer, 5 majors, who knows how many lts and other sgts then the officers. Please someone tell me why so many co's are going. How many do they need to supervise the officers standing post? I would really like to see some of these majors (one I know of will be out there in the cold with his people) standing post in the frigid temps. If this detail is so important why waste it on sending more co's then what is needed. For the Bush detail there was only one major, one Lt and a couple of Sgts the rest were officers. Just another example of the mismangement of the front office. People that do just about nothing here are going on a free trip to say they were there. The best thing is we really won't miss the co's that are going and the dept will probably run better during that week.

It would be real nice to see a complete list and the rank that is going. I would lay odds on it that out of the 58 we are sending atlease 15 of them are co's.
