Slight correction for you... Our "director" didn't say "no" to the furloughs. He got smacked with around 300 grievances last week that the city would be unable to fight. He wanted to furlough everyone for 32 hours...we filed grievance after grievance on it. Some folks actually served the days, but they'll be getting their money back by next week. Last Monday, he got smacked with the grievances. On Tues, our FOP President was called in, and told if we didn't accept the furlough days, he'd lay off
